Actor Nicholas Vince was discovered by Clive Barker in Mountview Theatre Academy. He played the role of Chatterer in the first two Hellraiser films. Chatterer was one of the Cenobites, an order of extradimensional sadomasochists who experiment in an extreme form of hedonism.
He was injured on set during his character's death sequence, when he opened his mouth to scream and a 12” rusty hook attached to a chain on the spinning pillar behind him went point first into the roof of his mouth.
Hellbound: Hellraiser II is a 1988 British-American body horror film directed by Tony Randel and starring Clare Higgins, Ashley Laurence, Simon Bamford, Kenneth Cranham, Nicholas Vince and Doug Bradley. The film is the second entry in the Hellraiser saga. Clive Barker, who wrote and directed the previous film, wrote the story and was the sequel's executive producer.
